SCA Roasting Intermediate

Coffee Roasting for experienced roasters

You work daily as a coffee roaster. You have put together your own roast profiles and many consumers already enjoy your coffee. Yet you also run into issues that you would like to investigate further. After all, all different coffee beans require their own recipes to extract the best flavours.

If you recognize yourself, join the SCA Roasting Intermediate training.

The training lasts 3 days, including exam. Unless otherwise agreed in consultation.

If you have no experience with roasting coffee yet, we recommend that you first follow the SCA Roasting Foundation.

Get your SCA certificate and score 10 points from the SCA diploma system.

The training is offered in groups.

The group training sessions consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 participants.

Training times: 9:30-17:30

The price: €1550 VAT exempt

Lunch at training days

SCA Certification Fee: The training concludes with an online written exam and a practical exam. The costs for taking this exam are €50 and will be charged separately.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Retake: The following applies to the intermediate level:

The practical exam consists of 3 parts. If you fail one or more components, you can retake them once. The costs for this are € 40 per part.

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.

Belgian participants who fall under ‘paritair committee 118/220’ can appeal to Alimento for an allowance for this training
