SCA Barista skills Intermediate

Analyse your work as an experienced barista.

The SCA barista skills intermediate training is suitable for baristas with professional experience who are able to make an espresso and cappuccino according to the parameters and work rules of the SCA. For those who are looking to improve and deepen their work.

In the intermediate training we go deeper into these skills. In the intermediate training it is all about the analysis of the results. Does what is prepared meet the standard, based on measured factors and taste? In addition, we work on the multi-order in the training and Latte Art is a fixed part.

If you have little or no experience as a barista, or if you are not yet familiar with the SCA parameters, first follow the SCA barista skills foundation training.

The training is offered in groups.

SCA Certification Fee: The training concludes with an online written exam and a practical exam. The costs for taking this exam are €50 and will be charged extra.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Retakes: For the Intermediate level the following applies:

The practical exam consists of three parts. If you fail one or more components, you can retake them separately. The costs are €40 per part.

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.

Get your SCA certificate and score 10 points from the SCA diploma system.
