SCA Barista Skills Foundation PLUS

The SCA Barista Foundation plus training is a two-day Barista Training. The training is suitable for the starting barista without experience in the catering industry and the catering employee without barista experience.

In the SCA Barista Skills Foundation PLUS training, the basic actions and knowledge of the barista profession are taught as determined by the SCA. We work on the espresso machine and with the coffee grinder. The (regular) SCA Barista Skills Foundation training aims to prepare and present a good cappuccino (and espresso) in an efficient and hygienic manner. Because the guest asks for more than just these two drinks, we also treat the other drinks from the coffee menu in the PLUS training. This therefore takes 2-2.5 half days (including skills test). A latte art training will also take place on the third day. You can book this extra.

The training can be booked separately, but is also part of the Coffee Training program and the Barista Training Level 1.

The training is offered in groups.

SCA Certification Fee: The training can be concluded with an online written exam and a practical test. The costs for taking this exam are €50 and will be charged extra to the student by the SCA.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Resit: For the foundation level applies:

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.
