Coffee Roasters Program Level 1

HOW DO YOU BECOME A PROFESSIONAL COFFEE ROASTER

It is currently very popular to roast your own coffee. But there is still a lot to consider when setting up a coffee roasting company. If you own the right equipment, it does not immediately make you a good coffee roaster. Which green coffee beans do you buy and how do you determine whether your roasting result is of good quality?

In the coffee roaster training level 1 we fully prepare you for the profession of coffee roaster so that you can start working confidently..

Do you want to become a coffee roaster but you have no experience at all. Then the Coffee Roaster Training Program Level 1 is perfect for you.

The training consists of 4 training days spread over approximately 2 months.

After the training, the participant will have basic knowledge and skills in the areas of:

• origin and processing of coffee
• different varieties
• green coffee review
• trade
• sustainability
• taste recognition and assessment
• the roasting process

Trainingstimes: 9:30-16:30/17:30

Price: €1.595,-

• Lunch at training days

SCA Certification Costs: The training consists of several SCA training courses. During Coffee Roaster Training level 1, a maximum of 3 SCA certificates (sensory, roasting and sustainability foundation) can be obtained. The costs for taking an exam, consisting of a written exam and a practical test, amount to €50 and will be charged to the student by the SCA.

Language: The training courses are given in Dutch or English. When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Resit: For the foundation level applies:

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.

Belgian participants who fall under joint committee 118/220 can appeal to Alimento for an allowance for this training
