Are you a coffee roaster or would you like to become one? Would you like to purchase your own beans or have them shipped to the United Kingdom via a middleman? Then it is good to know how the coffee trade works. How does the location of the coffee plantation affect the beans? What does the coffee market look like? How are prices determined? Which coffee beans fetch which prices? Which coffees should you buy and which should you definitely avoid?
In the SCA Green Coffee training course, we delve into the cultivation and trade of green coffee beans. The following topics are covered:
Agriculture:
– We will discuss the different coffee varieties, where they come from, how they are grown and under what conditions they grow.
– What are the different processing methods, where are they used and how do they affect green coffee?
– Determining quality and price.
– Transporting coffee.
– Setting up a Green/Cupping Lab.

There are no specific admission requirements, but we do recommend to follow the Green Coffee Foundation before.
