Delving into coffee trade

Are you a coffee roaster or do you want to become one? Would you like to buy your own coffee beans? In that case it is really good to have profound knowlegde about the coffee trading business. And also about the coffee producing process. What does the coffee trade market look like? How is the coffee price determined Which beans are sold for which price? And which beans should you not buy.

In the SCA Green Coffee intermediate training we dive deeper into the subject of Green Coffee Production and Trade. The following subjects are adressed:
Agriculture
– We will discuss the different coffee varieties, where they come from, how they are grown and under what conditions they grow.
– What different processing methods do we know, where are they used and what influence does this have on green coffee?
– Determination of quality and price.
– The transport of the coffee.
– setting up a Green/Cupping Lab

The training is offered in groups.

The Price: €1450,-

This includes:

• Lunch at training days

SCA Certification Fee: The training can be concluded with an online written exam and a practical test. The costs for taking this exam are €50,- and will be charged separately.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Retakes: For the Intermediate level the following applies:

The practical exam consists of three parts. When you fail you can do a one time retake. The costs will be 27,50 / exam

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.

Belgian participants who fall under ‘paritair committee 118/220’ can appeal to Alimento for an allowance for this training
