SCA Brewing Intermediate

The SCA Brewing Intermediate training is all about correctly analyzing the prepared coffee. We look for the most consistent brewing method and actions in order to correctly assess the end result. The parameters that apply in the SCA Brewing Foundation serve as a guideline. We take measurements with help of the Coffee Brew control chart and the refractometer to get the best insight in how to brew a perfect cup of coffee.

The training is offered in groups.

SCA Certification Fee: The training can be concluded with an online written exam and a practical test. You will receive an invoice of €50,- from the SCA.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Retakes: For the Intermediate level the following applies:

The practical exam consists of 3 parts. If you fail one or more components, you can retake them once. The costs are €40,-.

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.
