Barista Training Program Level 1 (SCA | SVH recognized)

WHEN ARE YOU A BARISTA?

The barista profession has different levels. A foundation barista is a starting barista who not only knows how to make a good espresso or cappuccino, he or she also knows how to serve ALL drinks from the coffee menu to your guests in an efficient and hospitable manner. Of course, that also includes the appearance. We therefore teach you how to pour the most beautiful figures into your milk drinks by means of Latte Art.

If you are already a barista, this is the perfect training to test your knowledge and skills and possibly deepen them in the long term by following Barista training level 2.

There are no conditions attached to participation, but we do advise you to work as a barista during the course. We make our network available for finding work.

With this training you will obtain 3 SCA certificates (Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills Foundation, and Brewing Foundation) and after completing the training you will receive a coffee school diploma stating all the skills you have learned.

The training consists of 6 training days spread over 3 months.

Training times: 9:30-17:30

Price course: €1.375,- (VAT exempt) (excl. exam costs)

SCA Certification Costs: The training consists of several SCA training courses and each training can be concluded with an online written exam and a practical exam. The costs for taking this exam are €50 (€25 for Introduction to Coffee) and will be charged to the student by the SCA. During Barista training level 1, a maximum of 3 SCA certificates can be obtained.

Practice: If you are not working as a barista or if you own an espresso machine, it is possible to come and practice without supervision. You make an appointment of at least 2 hours for this. For practice we charge €25 for the use of equipment, coffee and accessories.

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. Are you dyslexic or do you have another demonstrable reason why this is not possible for you, please indicate this when registering. We must request an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper or orally and with more time.

Resit: For the foundation level applies:

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.

When you have attended all days you will receive the SVH recognized Coffee School Diploma. The Barista training Level 1 is an SVH recognized industry training.
