In this course, you will learn:

💧 The basics of water treatment systems and how water affects the taste of coffee.

💧 How to analyse water, cup different water compositions and determine the best water quality for your coffee machines.

💧 How to inspect espresso machines, batch brewers and coffee grinders and carry out preventive maintenance effectively, from cleaning grinding discs to adjusting the bypass on your water filter.

💧 Recognising the effects of hard water and choosing the right water filters for your situation.

At the end of the training, you will be able to:

Language: English or Dutch When an English speaking participant registers for the training, it will be switched to English. If you object to this and you really only want to follow the training in Dutch, please contact us first: info@koffieschool.nl or 030-6336538. It is no longer possible to object after booking.

Exam: The written exam is taken online. If you are dyslexic, please indicate this when registering. We must apply for an exemption so that you can take the exam on paper and with more time.

The costs for taking this exam are €155 and will be charged extra. During this time, the participant must get started in practice in order to be sufficiently prepared for the Professional and the exam.

SCA Certification Costs: The training concludes with a practical test and a theory exam. The exam costs €50 and will be charged by the SCA.

Resits: The following applies to the Foundation level:

You have 2 attempts for the online written exam. If you fail both attempts, and you still want to obtain the certificate, you must register again for the relevant training.
